BFC Warehouse Operative – Stokenchurch

 

Role Overview:

To conduct a wide range of normal warehouse duties which include goods in, forklift driving where qualified, putting goods away, ensuring the racks are in an orderly manner, picking of orders, preparing orders, goods out and loading of varying types of transport.  To maintain a high level of daily housekeeping within the warehouse areas. To ensure all relevant paperwork is correctly processed.

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Waste – Maintaining company waste and recycling standards, to minimise environmental impact and reduce costs
  • Cleanliness – Maintaining site cleanliness standards including all equipment (Karcher, FLTs) to a high standard
  • Group – Willingness to support wider Group – inter-site working
  • Fleet – Where licenses are held, ensuring equipment is used in a controlled and safe manner
  • Duties – Assist with any warehouse duties
  • Reporting line – Reporting to the Warehouse Team Leader
  • WinMan (Enterprise Resource Planning Software) – Ability to follow procedures on WinMan relating to your duties
  • Outbound – Ensuring all outbound product is picked, packed to the customers’ requirements and company standard
  • Stock – Ensuring physical stock control is adhered to and assist with stock checks, as and when required
  • Inbound – Assisting goods in process, checking of goods and ensuring stock holding standard is maintained
  • Support – Supporting Team Leader in related duties as required
  • Finished Stock – Ensuring the company standard is followed and maintained
  • Sub Assembly – Ensuring assembly processes and checks are followed, and machinery maintained
  • Value Added – To maintain specific customer requirements (ink jet, heat seal, markings, box quality, Kanban)
  • Inbound – Controlled and accurate receipt of goods into the business physically and system processes followed
  • Stock Control – Ensuring stock is moved physically, and on the system, in a controlled manner
  • Outbound – Ensuring second checks on outbound product is accurate and correct
  • Champion – To champion and own designated processes within the operation
  • Training – To be able to train and sign off individuals of the champion area
  • Stock Accuracy – Support the business cycle counts and create lessons learnt/root cause
  • Cover – Provide cover in Team Leaders absence
  • Continual Improvement (CI) – Support CI projects to create improved efficiencies

 

Skills and Experience:

  • PC literate (Essential)
  • Flexible to working hours (38.5 hours rotational weekday shifts, starting no earlier than 7am and finishing no later than 6pm) – no weekend and evening shifts (Essential)
  • Good communication skills (essential)
  • Self-motivated (essential)
  • Ability to work to tight deadline (essential)
  • Ability to use own initiative (essential)
  • Ability to work well within a team (essential)
  • Excellent attention to detail (essential)
  • Basic numeracy and IT skills (essential)
  • Forklift licence (Counterbalance and Reach – will train the right person) (desirable)
  • Warehouse experience (desirable)
  • Full, current driving licence – with ability to drive manual and automatic vehicles (desirable)
