Internal Sales Manager – Stokenchurch

We are currently looking to recruit a BFC Internal Sales Manager to be based in the Stokenchurch office, managing the Stokenchurch and Redditch Internal Sales teams.  This position will report directly to the BFC Sales Director.

Purpose

  • To manage the Internal Sales team in their support of the Key Account Managers, External Sales Team and Sales Director, and to co-ordinate and ensure the smooth running of sales administration and internal quotation processes

Key Responsibilities

 Internal Sales Team Management

  • Support the internal sales teams with the daily processing of customer forecasts, orders, quotes, and ensuring that they are administered in a timely manner
  • Day to day management and support of sales authorisations on Winman and Docuware
  • Ensure all sales processes are followed to the written procedures of the business
  • Ensure customer order books for long lead time parts are proactively managed to head off any stock outs
  • Continually manage the training and development of the teams to encompass an improvement in business acumen, commercial thinking and customer relationship building
  • Effectively manage, mentor and communicate to your team to ensure they remain motivated and able to carry out their jobs effectively

 Management Support

  • Support the Sales Director with data and activity requests
  • Support the Sales Director in ensuring stock liability is covered by customer commitments and excess stocks are kept to acceptable levels
  • Ensure daily, weekly monthly tasks completed by team on time
  • Work with Procurement and Supply Chain to ensure the sales to purchase cycle runs smoothly and that products are correctly managed according to their status/category
  • Handling and documenting customer issues, complaints and co-ordinating the Continual Improvement Log
  • Produce a weekly summary report to be communicated to the wider group
  • Support the monthly reporting to the Group Management meeting
  • Be fully conversant in providing data and analysis from Power BI

 Business Development Support

  • Co-ordinate larger sales projects and sales funnel based RFQs and ensure the sales funnel is kept up to date and relevant
  • Co-ordinate and monitor the quotation and quotation feedback process
  • Co-ordinate and monitor CRM activity

 General

  • Liaise with Operations to co-ordinate the progress and picking of sales orders in the warehouse and to ensure customer requirements are clearly communicated and fulfilled
  • Ensuring high standards of presentation of all areas of the sales office

Skills and experience

  • Proven experience managing a team with excellent people and conflict management skills
  • Ability to communicate and build relationships, with strong Customer focus
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and decision-making skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Background within the Fastener industry would be advantageous, but not essential
  • Travel – role manages teams across two sites so requires element of travel, (estimated four days at Stokenchurch, one day at Redditch p/w), so must have ability to drive and have a full and valid driving licence

Additional job details:

  • Hours – 38.5 hours per week 8.30am-5pm (Monday-Thursday), 8.30am-3.30pm (Friday)
  • Location – Stokenchurch, but required to travel to Redditch at least 1 day per week
