Manufacturing Administrator and Operative

Location: Wednesbury

Role Overview:

This is a support role, dividing time between administrative duties (70%) and packing and assembly (30%).

 

To support Manufacturing Team Leader with administrative duties including goods-in, stock control and systems.  Assist with packing and assembly, adhering to quality and accuracy standards.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • General administrative support for the Manufacturing Team Leader (70%):
    • Order processing
    • Goods-in
    • Stock taking
    • Liaise with secondary site departments
    • Adhere to company policies, procedures, health and safety guidelines
    • Update process procedures, as and when required
    • Administer site transfers
    • Ensure all documentation is accurately completed and maintained
    • Maintain two-way communication with the Manufacturing Team Leader
    • Ensure 5S cleaning is maintained
  • Packing and assembly (30%)
    • Prepare, pack and assemble products according to instructions and standards
    • Ensure quality control and accuracy
    • Adhere to health and safety guidelines
    • Assist in other areas of the business, if required

 

 Skills & Experience:

  • Good standard of verbal and written English, along with excellent numeracy (essential)
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Exceptional organisation skills, with high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • MS Office experience
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing environment (desirable)
  • Ability to work individually, or within a team
  • FLT licence (desirable)

Additional Job details:

  • Hours – 39.5 hrs per week Monday to Friday (Monday-Thursday 8am-4.45pm, Friday 8am-3pm)
  • Location – Wednesbury with the requirement to travel to other sites on occasion
