Sales Account Executive – Stokenchurch

The Company:

Tibbetts Group is a family-owned business established over 40 years ago, with approximately 150 employees across four locations. The business has a global customer base with revenues exceeding £60m. This position is based at BFC (UK supplier of choice for bespoke components and fasteners to the global automotive, aerospace, security, and industrial manufacturing sectors) in Stokenchurch, Buckinghamshire.

 

Role overview:

This is a sales support role with strong account administration experience. Fastener knowledge preferred, but not essential as full training will be provided. Day-to-day support of key sales accounts and help grow sales in line with BFC’s business plan. A proactive approach to dealing with problems is required to ensure issues are resolved quickly and customers have a great experience dealing with BFC.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Respond to sales enquiries and/or orders received from customers via, e-mail, phone, online platforms
  • Orders to be placed within one hour of receiving them
  • Ensure customers receive order acknowledgments, confirming all orders
  • Ensure customer purchase orders are stored correctly in relevant folders
  • Ensure lost sales are recorded
  • Report customer complaints to the business
  • Ensure special customer requirements are followed and completed before goods are dispatched
  • Arrange collections and deliveries to customers
  • Ensure delivered stock is allocated to customers and operational team leaders are briefed
  • Complete customer order books, advising customers when they will receive goods
  • Manage incoming inventory by working with Supply Chain and Operations to ensure service levels and back-order targets are met
  • Respond to ad-hoc request from Sales/Marketing teams
  • Download customer orders from online platforms
  • Complete and circulate Daily Sales Report
  • Customers set-up process is followed to ensure new customers are set-up correctly and in a reasonable time
  • Manage problems brought to your attention, ensuring the relevant colleagues are informed and respond with effective solutions that work for the business and the customer
  • Produce ad hoc and regular reports that support the business
  • Provide support training for new starters
  • To proactively follow-up and e-mail customers with weekly/monthly offers as supplied by the Sales/Marketing team and pass on positive/negative feedback
  • To work with Sales and Product Management to ensure appropriate supporting information is passed onto customers to develop sales
  • Collect any valuable marketing information (pricing, competitor activity etc).
  • To make out-bound calls to existing customers as required

 

Skills and experience:

  • Account management and sales experience, including out-bound calling
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office packages to an intermediate level, especially Excel
  • GCSE in Maths and or English Language – Grade A to C
  • Ideally knowledge and experience in the fastener market, but not essential
  • Strong communication skills
  • A passion to meet agreed set targets
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently based on strong organisational and planning skills
