TGL Internal Sales Executive – Banbury
We are currently looking to recruit a TGL Internal Sales Executive to be based in the Banbury office (Beaumont Road, Banbury OX16 1RH). This position will report directly to the TGL Sales Director.
Purpose:
Deliver excellent customer support to all TGL customers in all aspects and ensure that they perceive TGL as easy to deal with. This includes processing customer orders; responding to customer requests effectively; supporting the sales team; and to be proactive in ensuring the business meets, or exceeds, the expectations of customers, ensuring TGL remains their supplier of choice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to sales enquiries and/or orders received from customers via, e-mail, phone, online platforms
- Orders to be placed within one hour of receiving them
- Ensure customers receive order acknowledgments, confirming all orders
- Ensure customer purchase orders are stored correctly in relevant folders
- Ensure lost sales are recorded
- Report customer complaints to the business
- Ensure special customer requirements are followed and completed before goods are dispatched
- Issue Returned Material Authorisation references to customers
- Arrange collections and deliveries to customers, complying with customer guidelines and procedures
- Ensure delivered stock is allocated to customers and operational team leaders are briefed
- Complete customer order books, advising customers when they will receive goods
- Aid customers in identifying correct applications they require from registration/chassis numbers, ensuring technical support is given, when and where possible
- Complete and circulate Daily Sales Report
- Liaise with Product Management if customers require non-stocked products
- Upload customer deliveries to online platforms
- Create and supply Advance Shipping Notifications (ASN), Portable Document Format (PDF) and Excel delivery notes to customers
- Other ad hoc duties as required
Skills and Profile Required:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail (Essential)
- Ability to work systematically when approaching tasks; following a proven process to daily, weekly and monthly tasks (Essential)
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a team, also the ability to work with other departmental functions within the business (Essential)
- Proficient user of Microsoft (Office 365) – Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook (Essential)
- Experience of working within a sales/customer facing environment such as retail or a contact centre (Essential)
- The ability to work under pressure; demonstrating a positive, enthusiastic and resilient approach (Essential)

- Experience with exporting goods within the EU and liaising with transport companies (Desirable)

Additional job details:
- Application deadline – close of play 11th September 2024, with interviews likely to be taking place w/c 16th September 2024
- Hours – 38.5 hours per week 8.30am-5pm (Monday-Thursday), 8.30am-3.30pm (Friday); with occasional cover to 5pm on a Friday (where cover is needed, time off will be given back in lieu of those hours worked)
