Colleague Spotlight: Miranda Dale

Tibbetts Group’s Marketing Co-ordinator, Miranda Dale, was responsible for organising the stunning TGL and RYMEC stand at last month’s Automechanika Frankfurt. We spoke to Miranda about the exhibit’s planning process, her range of hobbies at home, and more.

What is your role at Tibbetts Group?

“I support all divisions within the Tibbetts GroupTGL, BFC and Powell Gee – on their trade marketing initiatives. This involves organising exhibitions, advertising, PR/editorial, promotions, merchandise and customer communications, and I’ve been working at Tibbetts for nearly three years now.”

What is your favourite aspect of your role?

“I enjoy all aspects of marketing, but in particular, exhibitions and advertising. I enjoy seeing a project through from start to finish – from writing a brief to seeing the final advert in print or the physical stand in an exhibition hall.”

Are there any significant projects which you have been working on?

“Automechanika Frankfurt has been a big one, we started work last September when we booked the space. The stand builder was then selected in January this year. From then until briefing the sales and procurement teams a couple of months ago, the project has taken a lot of time and attention to detail to create a stand that works well for the sales team and their customers.

“During last month’s event in Frankfurt, we had at least 30 customer meetings in the calendar across five different spaces on the TGL and RYMEC stand. Now we have a break before attention turns to planning Automechanika 2026.”

What are your future projects or goals?

“After recently producing new TGL and RYMEC introductory videos, our plan is to replicate these with subtitles in different languages to introduce TGL and RYMEC to a wider audience.

“Every two years we conduct a customer satisfaction survey, as we want to provide exceptional service to all customers. That project is planned to go ahead soon for every division.

“For BFC, we are attending the Perimeter Protection Show which starts in January, and we had our kick-off meeting recently… there’s plenty of big projects to keep us busy!”

Have you worked in this area throughout your career?

“Yes, I’ve worked in B2B marketing roles all my life. Even my degree was in business studies with marketing. I love it!”

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

“I enjoy gardening and plan one day to grow vegetables. I also enjoy cooking and trying out new recipes on friends and family, as well as going to the theatre. I like musicals, recently we went to see Hamilton in Birmingham.”

Do you follow a sports team?

“Football tends to dominate the television in our house. We’ve got an Aston Villa fan, a Spurs fan, a Bolton Wanderers fan and as I was born in Manchester, technically I support Manchester United, but to be honest I just watch what’s on TV.

“I quite like motorsports; we often watch Formula 1 on a Sunday and I like Lando Norris in particular.”

What’s your favourite holiday destination?

“I’ve got to say the Greek Islands. For the last three years we’ve enjoyed sailing with a flotilla. I just love the slow, relaxed way of life and visiting different islands as well as spotting dolphins!”
