What is your role at The Tibbetts Group?
“My role at TGL is Key Account & Pricing Analyst, and I’ve been managing some of our largest OE accounts for around 15 years.
“On a typical day, I handle RFQs and quotations, oversee internal and external projects as they come on board, and conduct forecast analysis. I also respond to a wide range of day-to-day requests, ensuring our key accounts receive the support and insight they need.”
How long have you worked at The Tibbetts Group?
“I’ve been with The Tibbetts Group for 19 years now, 20 this coming September.
“My journey began in the warehouse, where I spent my first few years. From there, I moved into what was then known as Customer Services. As the business expanded, I took on the role of Customer Services Team Leader. I later moved into Sales & Marketing, and eventually into the position I hold today. It’s been a rewarding experience to grow alongside the business.
“When I first joined TGL, we operated out of a warehouse in Bloxham and back then, we were a small team. So, seeing the business evolve over the years and moving into our current Head Office in 2017 has been great.”
What is your favourite aspect of your role?
“One of the things I enjoy most about my role is interacting with our customers. Over the years, I’ve built personal connections with many of them. I know about their families, the sports teams they support, and the little things that make each relationship unique.
“We’ve also got a fantastic team here in the office. It makes a big difference when you work with people you get along with and respect.”
Are there any significant projects which you are currently working on?
“I’m currently looking at a number of range extensions for various customers.”
What are your future projects or goals?
“I’m still as motivated as ever to keep progressing. I want to go as far as I can within the business. It’s about continuing to push myself, take on new challenges, and make the most of every opportunity that comes my way.”
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
“Outside of work, I really enjoy spending time with my family. Most Saturdays, you’ll find us at Brackley Town, cheering them on when they’re playing at home.
“I’ve also been trying to get back into running. I’ve completed a few half marathons in the past, including the Great North Run a couple of times. Earlier this year, I ran the Stowe Gardens 10K at the National Trust. It was tough, I hadn’t run that distance in years, but I really enjoyed it and plan to do it again.
“Lately, I’ve picked up a new hobby too: darts. I’ve got a dartboard at home and have started playing regularly”.
Do you follow a sports team?
“As well as supporting Brackley Town, I’m also an avid Manchester United fan, unfortunately!”
What is your favourite film or television genre?
“When it comes to films, I’m drawn to true stories, they’re the ones that really stick with me. As for TV, right now, I’m watching MobLand on Paramount+, and it’s very good, worth a watch!”
What’s your favourite holiday destination?
“I used to go to Spain a lot when I was younger, but these days I like to mix things up and explore new places. In recent years, I’ve travelled to Thailand, Cape Verde, and New York, and next on the list is hopefully Morocco. I try to visit somewhere different every time, it keeps things exciting”.
What’s something that you’ve always wanted to try or learn?
“I’ve always wanted to take a single seater around Silverstone. I’ve done track days and rally experiences in the past, but there’s always been someone sitting next to me. What I really want is to do a solo track day at Silverstone, just me and the car. It’s one of those bucket list things I’d love to tick off before I turn 50. Alongside that, I’m aiming to complete a few more half marathons. It’s all about setting goals and pushing myself.”
